Employees were notified Sunday not to come in, and that their services were no longer needed.

Here%26#39;s hoping that the ramp-up to the high season finds jobs for those displaced by this closure.

That%26#39;s too bad, we enjoyed several nice meals at Schooner%26#39;s, the most memorable was a Father%26#39;s Day brunch one year with my brother-in-law and his 3 children. Thank you for the information, I%26#39;m sorry to see them go. :(

Bummer for people staying across the street at the Eliot.

We were really sad to see that the Columbia River Day spa is also gone, across from the Hotel Elliott. I think they may be in a new place this Fall, that%26#39;s what their message said when I called. I%26#39;ll miss this place! :(

Oh too bad syrahgirl ... but I am sure you will find plenty of new places... when you return in the fall, it will be fun to see what moved in to that space ..

I am sure when we return to Portland, the same thing will happen.

I just feel bad for those poor employees ... no advance notice.. what a shame.

Very sorry to learn of the Bisto%26#39;s demise. We always enjoyed stopping here before concerts at the nearby Liberty Theater.
