We will be driving from Gold Beach to Florence because we thought it would be a good stopping point for lunch and also the dune buggy rides. Can you give any suggestions for a restaurant preferably with a view of the ocean. Also, would you suggest pre-buying the dune buggy tickets or waiting till we get there.

The ONLY ocean view restuarant near Florence is at Driftwood Shores, however, it%26#39;s pretty good!!
If you can settle for riverview, I can give you several between Winchester Bay and Florence.
There is no advantage (discount) for buying dune buggy tickets a head of time.

I%26#39;ll check out Drivtwood Shores, but any that you know in the Florence area would be great. I didn%26#39;t think there would be any discount with buying the dune buggy tickets early, just that maybe we wouldn%26#39;t have to wait too long once we arrived.
On Bay Street in Florence, the Waterfront Depoe (Seafood and American-----reservations STRONGLY recommended) and Traveler%26#39;s Cove (Mexican and Seafood)are both very good. ICM (International ';C';food Market)and Mo%26#39;s are just average but both also have great views of the river and bridge.
If you want to stop b4 you get to Florence, The Crabby Cafe` in Winchester Bay has great fresh seafood. Also in Winchester Bay is Unger%26#39;s Landing, which actually sets on the water and has pretty good food.
Those w/o any view that I recommend are The Seafood Station and Aztlan on hwy 101, the Bay Street Grill, and Trios at the Three River%26#39;s Casino.
