Portland with Baby?

We%26#39;re thinking of coming out to Portland, but would have a 1-year old in tow. Any suggestions for sightseeing around Portland with the baby? Getting around (we%26#39;re used to walking)? Hotels? Restaurants?

Portland with Baby?

Portland is very baby friendly .. the sidewalks are nice and wide and there are a lot of wheelchair friendly places also so you won%26#39;t have a problem with the stroller or just taking baby with you everywhere..

Sightseeing with the baby, ride the streetcar, save your feet a little .. Stay at the Monaco if it is in your budget, they have great suites that are good for parents %26amp; child.

If not within the budget, look at the Embassy Suites and the Inn at Northrup Station .. which is very family friendly... also in a good spot for sightseeing and not too far from the parks.. Rose Gardens and Japanese Gardens.

At one years old, I guess the baby will just be happy to be with you and get to run/crawl around sometimes lol.

I will include my hotel lists here and the streetcar site so you can look at the map and see where things are and how easy they are to get to by streetcar.

Also, I have restaurant lists.

Henrys is great for eating with babies.. as is the Pearl Bakery for lunches or breakfast, Fenouil has wonderful outdoor seating plus they do picnics in the park ..

You can enjoy eating at Piazza Italia with the baby during the day, sidewalk cafe is good..comfortable.

We used to have the dog with us all the time and ate outside at most of the good places in town.. Everett Street Bistro, Oba, bluehour, Paragon.. there are more but my mind is mush today.. hope this helps get you started :)
