Motel on north coast - need your help to figure out the name

Hi,

We used to live in Oregon %26amp; come back to visit periodically. Last time we were there, maybe 8 years ago, we stayed at a neat little motel on the north coast. I think it was between Seaside and Astoria but maybe it was a little south of Seaside. It was an older place, on the beach side of 101. It had some separate cottage-type accommodations, and was not in a town. Does it ring a bell? Is it still there? We%26#39;re coming back this August %26amp; would really like to stay there again.

thanks,

Jenny

There are little cottages at the Tides by the Sea but they are in Seaside. Was it in Gearhart, possibly www.gearhartoceaninn.com How long ago did you stay there? :)

Was it on the beach?

Do you remember any of the terrain around it?

I know this is an almost impossible quest without more info... sorry! It was about 8 years ago. The cottages were older and white (at the time). They were on the coast side of the road, and there were some low dunes. I remember that we walked through the dunes on a path to get to the beach. I know for sure it was somewhere north of Tillamook but thought it was on the far north coast. Nope, it wasn%26#39;t the place you linked to in Gearhart, not nearly that fancy.

Was it at Rockaway Beach? I think there are some places that fit the description in that area.

Try searching www.rockawaybeach.net

Now that I think about it, are you sure it was in Oregon? There are several places like that around the Long Beach WA area. Try www.klipsanbeachcottages.com

Nope, none of the Rockaway ones, unless they%26#39;ve been remodeled. It definitely was in Oregon. Oh well, thanks for trying. Maybe we%26#39;ll just go with another one of these!
